Fiesta Online – Everyone is invited to play the open beta!
Sun, 09/28/2008 - 12:10 — Ggot
Hamburg, September 26th 2008 - Leading European MMOG publisher gamigo AG confirms,
that the European English version of Fiesta Online goes into open beta today. After
a successful closed beta period with a limited number of testers, now everyone who registers
at the official Homepage http://fiesta.gamigo.com/ can immediately download the
client and start playing.
A vibrant community is looking for new members
In Fiesta Online thousands of players can discover a colorful and breathing world full of
adventure. Together they complete missions, hunt for monsters or take part in epic
Kingdom Quests. But what makes Fiesta really special are many useful community
features. The game is not just about training the character in battle, but finding new
friends and spending time with them as well.
But not just its features separate Fiesta from the competition. Great cell shaded
characters and detailed surroundings are making the game a welcome diversion from
usual MMORPGs. Its unique look and thought-out features already made Fiesta a big hit
in Asia and the USA. After the official launch of the German version two months ago, now
players from all over Europe can join the growing community and discover big treasures
and even bigger friendships.
Now free for all!
“We want to thank all participators of the closed beta, who really helped us setting the
game up for a bigger audience” says Elmar Kofler, Product Manager of Fiesta Online.
“Now we are excited to offer the game to all players who want to experience the
fascinating world of Fiesta and help us to polish the game even further for its final
release.”
gamigo invites all interested players to go to http://fiesta.gamigo.com/ to sign up and
join the world of Fiesta Online. The official European version of Fiesta Online will be
released later this year. Like the beta, the final version can be downloaded and played
free of charge with no monthly fees.

Shot Online - Spanish and French Versions are coming!
Wed, 08/06/2008 - 16:29 — Ggot
Hamburg, July 30th 2008 - Leading European MMOG publisher gamigo AG is proud to announce the forthcoming launch of the Spanish and French versions of the internationally successful MMO sports title “Shot Online”. Both new versions will be available for beta testers in mid August, and will be released commercially later this year. The respective websites can already be reached at www.shot-online.eu
The only realistic MMO golfing simulation
Shot Online is a comprehensive and realistic golfing experience, offering players over 250 different holes to play. Players can gain experience points for every well-played course, in order to level up and become the ultimate golfing professional. Beyond that, they have the chance to buy hundreds of optional items to improve their abilities even further. Although there is the possibility to buy certain items for real money, Shot Online remains completely free because every object can also be bought with the in-game currency, either from an NPC or in the auction house.
While up to four players can compete in a direct match at any time, there will be special events and tournaments for everyone on a regular basis, with great prizes to be won. Of course there are lots of useful community features, which give players the chance to chat with their friends, meet new people and form guilds to play as a team.
Gamigo invites new players from all over the world
After a very successful year for the German version of the game, now with over 150,000 registered players, gamigo is finishing up the French and Spanish versions of the worldwide popular sports MMOG. These versions will not only be available to players in
France and Spain, but every player from around the globe speaking one of these languages can become part of the growing international community.
In mid August, players will have the chance to check out the new versions of the game for the first time, in an extensive beta testing period. The final version will commence shortly afterwards. Right now, players can already check out the official website in both new languages and meet up with other golfers in the forums. “We are excited to launch Shot Online in two new languages, so we can give hundreds of thousands of players worldwide the chance to experience this great game”, says Sven
Ossenbrüggen, CEO gamigo AG. “With the new versions of Shot Online and other great, free games coming up in additional languages, we are showing our commitment to expanding our influence in the European gaming business.”
Shot Online will be released as a beta version in mid August, with a completely free final version following shortly afterwards later. Players can go to the official website www.shot-online.eu right now, and already register to be one of the first players to check out the new versions.

The Next Generation of Kyasor
Wed, 08/06/2008 - 16:13 — Ggot
Kyasor has revamped its posting system, switching to forums which allow password protection for characters as well as easier navigation, and the shift has been very well recieved. Our extensive, updated magic system is nearly finished, with 126 different skills already listed and more intended as the game progresses. The game itself has become very politically and socially rich, far exceeding our expectations, and the complex, intelligent plot lines are making for a uniquely grown-up rpg experience. Wish us luck for another year of growth and development!

Age of Conan Review: Lev 1-20 Demonologist
Thu, 06/05/2008 - 01:43 — GgotAs many of you know I was in the AoC beta where I only managed to get to lev 15 or so with my barbarian, but since last Thursday, when I finally managed to get a copy of the game, I’ve been battling it out in Hyborian and currently have a lev 20 Demonologist. So I thought I’d give you guys my thoughts on the game so far.
Dark Age of Camelot: Producer Letter
Tue, 06/03/2008 - 13:44 — GgotDark Age of Camelot's producer Christopher Rabideau has posted a newsy letter on the Camelot Herald site. The letter deals with items of interest to players and, more specifically, with the 'Origins' (aka 'Old Frontiers') server.
Hello Dark Age of Camelot and fellow Players,
Festival of Unity in EverQuest 2
Tue, 06/03/2008 - 13:38 — GgotAntonia Bayle server celebrates its annual Festival of Unity! For one week each year, dark elves and high elves together raise a cup. Fae and Arasai share pollen-dripping sunflowers. Dwarves break out the GOOD stuff and every table is laden down with pies fresh from Halfling ovens. Barbarians take their annual shower. Ogres and trolls eat gnome cookies instead of gnomes. Dogs and cats live together ....
Age of Conan proclaims death to false metal
Tue, 06/03/2008 - 13:37 — GgotGood evening, Hyboria, are you ready to rock!
To the delight of the Age of Conan development and community support team, a German metal band by the name of Linkin Purpz has produced a song all about, well, how much they love playing Age of Conan. Entitled Gods of War, it appears to be a melodic rant about the three principal deities of AoC, namely Mitra, Crom and Set, and how each of them is (or isn't) willing to aid their worshippers. The growling lyrics probably lose something in the translation from the original German:
Too much gods to choose
How will they help you out
Champions Online: Ankylosaur
Wed, 05/28/2008 - 22:56 — GgotHe was born into a poor family, and no one really understood him. He got kicked out of school because of a simple misunderstanding about what he and the principal's daughter were doing in the broom closet. He was
tossed into juvie for a couple of burglaries and some joyriding - a luckier kid would have gotten a slap on the wrist.
Nothing ever turned out right. But Paul was convinced that he was due for a big score to make up for all his rotten luck.
Graphics Pains with Age of Conan
Wed, 05/28/2008 - 22:55 — GgotLate into the US holiday weekend, I was finally able to register/activate my game code so that I could play Age of Conan (AoC). I quickly found out that my inability to register wasn’t going to be
my only problem.
MMO MMOnkey: Age of Conan reinvents the early game
Wed, 05/28/2008 - 22:49 — GgotLike a damsel in distress, MMO players have been held captive by game openings that have relied heavily, much too heavily, on bounty quests of the "Kill twenty of these and then come back to me" variety.
Trapped in chains of tedium, experienced players blitz through early levels to get to the point where something interesting starts to happen while gamers new to the genre often wonder why anyone bothers to play these games
before they quit from boredom. At least that's the way it used to be.
What is Realm vs. Realm (RvR) ?
Wed, 05/28/2008 - 22:41 — GgotThis may seem a bit elementary to those who have already participated in RvR, but I thought it might be fun to come up with a somewhat formal explanation. Feel free to improve upon it in the comments and I’ll
amend!
Realm vs. Realm (RvR) is a term Mythic trademarked with the release of it’s pseudo-historical MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot back in 2001. Like Player vs. Environment (PvE) and Player vs. Player (PvP),
RvR describes a gaming niche.
The simplest definition of RvR is this:
MMO 2.0
Wed, 05/28/2008 - 22:39 — GgotLately, there has been a lot to talk about in the MMO-verse, with Age of Conan just getting released and a World of Warcraft expansion pack on track for a holiday unveiling there seems to be nothing that can stop the momentum gained by the industry. However, despite all the success being thrown around by the top five MMOs (World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, EVE Online, Final Fantasy XI) there seems to be very little that is truly pushing the genre towards the “next step.”
