Another new and creepy looking monster!
As Fall slowly approaches, so too does Blizzard slowly tickle details about Wrath of the Lich King, expansion for World of Warcraft to us. Today they updated the bestiary, giving us a look at the Jormungar.
The fiercely aggressive jormungar are a marvel of evolution, possessing rows of chisel-like teeth capable of boring through solid rock, as well as muscular, flattened bodies well adapted to rapid underground navigation.

Luckily, they sent a "Save the Date" notice.
Lighthouse has announced on the official forums that the Rikti are indeed back and invading! From yesterday (Friday, June 13th) through Thursday (June 19th) they'll be around, attacking Paragon City and Rogue Isle with devastating force. Luckily Vanguard has the drop on them, so you'll always know where and when they are coming shortly beforehand.
* When Zones within the cities are under attack, a world-wide alert will be issued by Vanguard. This alert will show up in your Chat window on the Event channel, warning you in which zone attack is imminent. If you haven't already, be sure to add the Event channel to one of your chat tabs.

Syp over at his blog WAAAGH! thinks it's funny what other people consider to be a "win" for an MMORPG. Frankly, I agree with him that somehow "beating WoW" should not be a game's primary goal, but it's the one that people speculate over the most. Noting that, Syp has a list of what he thinks it will take for WAR to "win" - whatever that might mean.
