        BELT COLOURS - maroon

You may be interested to know that the QLR stablebelt you show on your site went out of use about 5 years ago. A thicker belt, fastened at the side by 2 buckles in black leather is now in use. Incidentally, the same belt will be taken into use by the new regiment forming from the QLR KINGS & KORBR (THE DUKE OF LANCASTER'S REGIMENT), will adopt this belt from 01 July 2006.

With thanks to Richard Courteney-Harris, Maj SO2 Applications/TA HQ CRR W MIDS

The maroon stable belt was introduced in 1958 on the formation of the Lancashire Regiment (PWV)
