        THE SUFFOLK AND CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGIMENT

THE SUFFOLK AND CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGIMENT STABLE BELT

I suspect that the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Regiment did not have their own stable belt. Many pictures I have seen indicate that the former 4th Suffolks wore the Suffolk Regiment one and the Cambs wore their own ones too. I have quite a collection of original uniforms and insignia of the battalion which have been given to me by the old boys over the years but I have never come across a specific stable belt.

Even the Regimental Drums are slightly different (the Suffolk drums have a small gold key beneath the door of the Gibraltar castle and the Cambs ones don抰 as they didn抰 have the Battle Honour!)

With thanks to Taff Gillingham, The Suffolk Regiment Museum
